It needed up to Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase exceeding 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, frankly, a compliment to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over five decades.

It's challenging for their batsmen to possess a record if never given the chance.

"An opportunity to go out there and face the challenge with her and simply enjoy myself that way, kind of motivated me," commented Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her quickest at the World Cup - and her ton in 84 deliveries while she punished short deliveries, striking 21 boundaries and three sixes.

By the time she was dismissed her side needed 66 more at run per delivery - a manageable total now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I'm happy we have the assurance to accomplish that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it another time but, if necessary, we know we can succeed."

That comment will be the final thing rival teams at this World Cup should hear.

In recent days a sense they will succeed regardless of circumstances has only strengthened - this triumph following victory over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with old rivals England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a last-four spot may likely be confirmed.

It was in the semi-finals they exited last year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - a match Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the initial instance at a significant event.

Such is her determination, she subsequently stated she wished she had played despite the injury.

But while she subsequently acknowledged those fitness problems have postponed plans to retire, this championship is expected to be her final tournament as skipper in ODI cricket and she is still to achieve an international tournament as captain.

Success in India would bring her to the top of her ultimate challenge.
